Operating company

The operating companies currently contracted to oversee, co-ordinate and undertake all cyclic, routine, winter service and emergency response are Amey (for the SE and Forth Bridge parts of the network), BEAR (for the NE and NW parts of the network) and Scotland TranServ (for the SW part of the network). They also oversee and co-ordinate maintenance works carried out by contractors on discrete contracts, and works by utility companies (statutory undertakers)
